SMS Messaging Guidelines & Anti-Abuse Measures

1. Introduction
SkyLimit provides eSIM-based data, voice, and SMS services to users worldwide. This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs the use of our SMS messaging platform and is designed to protect our users, their recipients, and the integrity of telecommunications networks.
By using SkyLimit's SMS services, you agree to comply with this policy. Violations may result in immediate suspension of your account, forfeiture of prepaid balance, and reporting to relevant authorities.
2. Regulatory Compliance
All SMS messages sent through SkyLimit must comply with:
- CTIA Short Code Monitoring Program — Industry standards for commercial messaging
- TCPA (Telephone Consumer Protection Act) — US federal law governing unsolicited communications
- CAN-SPAM Act — Federal regulations on commercial electronic messages
- GDPR — Where applicable, European data protection regulations
- Local telecommunications laws in the recipient's jurisdiction
3. Prohibited Content (CTIA SHAFT Guidelines)
SkyLimit enforces the CTIA SHAFT content categories. The following types of content are strictly prohibited in any SMS message sent through our platform:

Sexual content, escort services, adult entertainment, pornography
Hate speech, threats, harassment, bullying, incitement to violence
Alcohol promotions, sales, delivery offers (informational/age-gated content may be permitted)
Gun sales, ammunition deals, firearms promotions, ghost guns
Cigarette sales, vaping promotions, e-cigarette deals
4. Financial Fraud & Scam Prevention
SkyLimit has zero tolerance for financial fraud messaging. The following are strictly prohibited:
- Loan & Payday Lending: Payday loans, instant cash offers, no-credit-check loans, guaranteed approvals
- Debt Collection/Credit Repair: Unauthorized debt collection, credit repair scams, debt elimination schemes
- Credit Card/Banking Fraud: Stolen card data, card number requests, bank login harvesting
- Payment Platform Scams: PayPal/Venmo/Cash App/Zelle scams, money flipping, payment hacking
- Cryptocurrency Scams: Guaranteed crypto returns, Bitcoin doubling, pump-and-dump schemes, fake NFT sales
5. Phishing & Social Engineering
Messages designed to deceive recipients into revealing personal information are prohibited:
- Account verification/suspension scams ("Your account has been locked...")
- Government impersonation (IRS, FBI, Social Security, etc.)
- Identity theft attempts (SSN, password, PIN requests)
- Fake urgency tactics ("Act now or your account will be closed...")
- Deceptive URL shorteners that mask malicious destinations
6. Illegal Substances & Activities
Messages promoting or facilitating illegal activities are strictly prohibited:
- Sale or promotion of controlled substances (drugs, prescription medications without authorization)
- Illegal gambling operations
- Human trafficking or exploitation
- Money laundering or wire fraud
7. Anti-Spam Measures
SkyLimit prohibits unsolicited bulk messaging (spam). All SMS campaigns must comply with:
- Consent: Recipients must have given prior express consent to receive messages
- Identification: Messages must clearly identify the sender
- Opt-out: Recipients must be able to opt out of future messages
- Frequency: Messages must not be sent at unreasonable frequency
- Accuracy: Content must not be deceptive or misleading
8. Automated Content Monitoring

SkyLimit employs an automated content moderation system that scans every outgoing SMS in real-time before delivery. Our system uses pattern matching and natural language analysis to detect prohibited content.

9. Rate Limiting & Abuse Prevention
SkyLimit implements tiered rate limiting to prevent abuse:

10. Enforcement & Penalties
Violations of this Acceptable Use Policy are handled as follows:
First minor offense: account warning via email with explanation of the violation.
Repeat offense: 24-72 hour SMS sending suspension. Balance is preserved.
Severe or repeated violations: permanent account suspension and forfeiture of remaining balance.
Criminal activity (fraud, phishing, impersonation): reported to law enforcement authorities.
11. Reporting Abuse
If you receive an unwanted or suspicious SMS that you believe was sent through SkyLimit's platform, please report it to us immediately:

Include the sender's phone number, the message content, and the date/time it was received. We investigate all reports within 24 hours.
